Fat Adaptation & Fatty Coffee For Energy

Question:What should I do when I don’t eat enough for breakfast and get hungry before lunch?  I also have been having a lot of brain fog , am I not eating enough?

This common question just arrived from a client—other clients site being unable to get over their craving for snacks. This complaint arises when someone is switching from a sugar-dependent metabolism (glycogenic) to a more fat-adapted metabolism (ketogenic). Vigorous exercise helps kick this fat burning system into gear. A low-carb-high-fat diet (LCHF) triggers fat adaptation. So too does an occasional skipped meal, or at least going 6-8 hours between meals. And my simple and now more popular solution to help jump start your fat-adapted metabolism and energy? Fatty coffee or fatty tea—The addition of short and medium chain triglycerides (fats) added to some beverage that contains caffeine.

These dietary fats come in two forms:

  • Short Chain Triglycerides are in ample supply in butter or it’s purified form—ghee.
  • Medium Chain Triglycerides (MCT) are found in coconut oil and it’s purified form—MCT Oil. PRODUCTS CAN BE FOUND HERE UNDER FATTY COFFEE

These dietary fats are very effectively taken apart by your body and used for energy production, feeding your body with a slow-release steady flow of energy from fat rather than glucose sugars. Furthermore, these fats and the caffeine that delivers them reduce craving and hunger. Combined, you can naturally go longer between meals and maintain a more “fat-adapted” metabolism. Enjoy the lack of hunger.  Enjoy being free of cravings. Enjoy the flavor.

Make sure you are following and LCHF diet that matches your Blood Code.

Assure the kind of exercise that is proven to kick this system into gear, like the Metabolic Recovery Circuit Workout.

RECIPE:

  • 6-12 ounces of coffee or tea (I prefer coffee for this fatty beverage)
  • 1 tsp of butter or ghee
  • 1tsp-1 TBS of coconut oil or MCT oil

Whip these ingredients together until a slight froth occurs to blend in the oils. Enjoy. – RM
